Our Team
Of the 34 employees currently working at Mike Fair Chevrolet Cadillac, eight of them have been with the dealership since it first opened its doors in 1987. An additional ten employees have been at the dealership for over 10 years.
This low turnover and high seniority rate means that when you buy a vehicle from Mike Fair, you get the benefits of dealing with a team that understands and works well with each other – a team that is brimming with professionalism, experience and dedication. As well, our staff is continuously updated on all the latest products, tools and techniques to ensure that our customers are always receiving the most up-to-date service possible.

Mike Fair has been in the automotive business the majority of his life. Born and raised in Oshawa, home of General Motors Canada, Mike has been associated with GM since he was 19 years old; first working in the engineering department for 12 years and then in the sales department for 7 years before joining his first GM dealership in Oshawa in 1980. Seven years later, Mike moved his family to Smiths Falls after being presented with an opportunity to purchase the former Smiths Falls Chevrolet Oldsmobile Geo Cadillac dealership.
Mike has always had the philosophy that if you make a living from the people in your community, you should give back to that community. Since moving to Smiths Falls, Mike has stayed true to his word. As a former President of the Smiths Falls Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Smiths Falls Hospital Foundation’s Capital Campaign Committee, a member of the Rideau Canal Museum Board of Directors and a proud supporter of local minor hockey and figure skating, Mike is very proud to call Smiths Falls home. |

A graduate of the University of Guelph and NADA Dealer Academy, Kristine has over 25 years of automotive experience having worked with GM, Chrysler and Toyota/Lexus dealerships in Southwestern Ontario. She joined the Mike Fair team two years ago since moving with her children from London, Ont. to Lombardy.
Although new to the Smiths Falls area, like her father Mike, Kristine is becoming more actively involved in the community. Most of her free time is lovingly spent with her 14 year old twins, who are involved in numerous school teams as well hockey, land lacrosse, and competitive equestrian riding. In between all this, she fits in a game of golf and a trip to the gym.

One of the original employees Mike Fair hired in 1987, Doris is our dealership’s secretary-treasurer. With 33 years of experience as an automotive accountant, Doris is currently a Silver Member of the GM Dealer Accountants Guild.
Doris is a Past-President of the Lion’s Club, and was on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Lanark County and a member of the Economic Development Council for the Township of Beckwith. When she’s not at work, she enjoys playing golf. Doris currently lives in Carleton Place with her husband, Ken.

In his downtime, Wayne likes relax by taking his 34-foot boat down the Rideau River and the 1,000 Islands with his wife, Barb.

Karen is a recent addition to the Mike Fair Chevrolet Cadillac team, although she is no stranger to the automotive industry. Her experience includes automotive finance, service advisor as well as claims investigation for an automotive warranty company.
Karen was born and raised in the Ottawa Valley and currently resides in Smiths Falls, with her husband and three children. When not in the office, Karen can be found on the back of her husband's motorcycle cruising the local roads.
Karen's passion for sporty vehicles is evident with her love for the Pontiac Grand Prix. |

Kevin is our latest team member at Mike Fair's and brings several years of automotive experience. Kevin's passion outside of his career is running a beef cattle farm in Balderson along with his wife and two young daughters.

The newest addition to the Mike Fair family, Don joined our team in April 2007 to manage the Collision Repair Centre. A Brockville native, Don brings with him over 35 years of insurance, automotive, and bodywork experience and is a licenced body technician.
Don is a NASCAR enthusiast, and he also enjoys camping and bowling.
